When working with asbestos risk assessments need to be carried out with the appropriate controls in place, and those carrying out the work must have had the correct level of information, instruction and training, to protect themselves (and others in the area) from the risks to health that exposure to asbestos causes.
If you aren’t sure whether there may be asbestos somewhere in your building, we advise that you don’t undertake any work until you know for sure. If your building was built or refurbished before the year 2000 and some materials in the building have become damaged to any extent, you could need our help.
